Ajax Leak Protect water sensor is marked IP65. This IP, or Ingress Protection, 65 enclosure protection means that your device has full protection against dust and other particulate matter. This is due to a vacuum seal that is tested against vicious airflow. This IP65 rating also means that your Ajax Leak Protect sensor is also safe against low-pressure jets of directed water from literally any angle.

The time taken for Leak Protect to register water ingress and alerting the owner through the mobile application is under 0.15 seconds. The device uses Jeweller radio technology for communication and is able to communicate with the central unit at a distance of over 1300 meters. The device, thanks to Jeweller communication channel, is safe from jammers, uses an encrypted form of transmission, and, thus, is tamper-free.

The device is plug and play right out of the box. Connect it to the Hub with just one click. The battery is already installed and works up to 5 years without the need for a replacement. Use the mobile application to set whatever settings you desire, or just use the default. The detector only has to be placed on the floor under a washing machine, dishwasher, bathtub or heating radiator.
